Friends

My friends Heather and Makelle threw a shower for me on Saturday. It was a lot of fun and they put way more work into it than I deserved! I have to say that I have the best friends. They have been the ones that have stayed in touch with me and been supportive of me through everything. I don't stay in touch with too many people but I absolutely love the ones I am still in contact with. These girls are the best!

Here is how the room was decorated, and you can't see it very well but there was tons of really amazing food! YUM!

I have known Heather since I was born pretty much and I have known Brittney since either kindergarten or first grade. I have so many fun memories with both of them and I am lucky to be able to see them fairly often.

This is Makelle and I have known her since we moved back to Utah half way through my eighth grade year. We kept in contact through high school (She went to WX) and also had lots of good memories down at UVSC together.

Carrie and I met when I was down at UVSC and she moved into the apartment I was living in. I was lucky enough to live with her for two years. I owe this girl a lot.

This is us showing off our spoils from the game of memory. Heather was in charge of the games and they were adorable. She even coordinated the candy bars to go with the matches we turned over. Breastfeeding=Milky Way, Babysitting=airheads, Dirty Diapers=Mounds etc, Cute huh?

This is us in the kitchen trying to get Jayda to move with an ice cube. She didn't feel like moving for them. :(

I love my mom, that's all I have to say. She is gorgeous and was fun to have at the shower. She fit in well.
Once again, I am so grateful for my friends. They have each had a positive role in my life and I plan on them being a part of it forever. Thank you so much for treating me so well and for such a fun shower.

I give

We have resigned to the fact that we will probably still be in our house when Jayda comes and decided to give in and decorate her room. (It will be our computer room also because we don't have a phone jack in a decent place anywhere else in the house) We also needed some distracting projects to keep us busy and distract from the emptiness of our house lately. So here is a sneak peak at our work in progress. The finished product will come at a later date :)

This is our excited faces. This room is the only room in the house we haven't painted yet. Some of them have been painted twice!

Here is the 8 month belly in a Mickey Mouse shirt. I know you are all jealous of my designer sense of style! It's important to look your best even when painting. ;)

Busy Month of May!

It seems like May is a busy month for everyone. There are birthdays, weddings, showers, sports, and school is getting ready to be over. My May has been a fun one so far. On Saturday my friend Jen threw a baby shower for me. I had so much fun getting together with everyone and hanging out. I really, really appreciate everyone showing their support despite the hectic Saturday that most of them had planned. My friend April was also there but isn't in any of these pictures. There were a few people that weren't able to make it that still brought gifts over to my house which I thought was very sweet. So thank you so much to Jen for all of the work and time put into the shower, it was perfect and thank you to everyone for the gifts and for coming!

My mom

Look how cute that outfit is!

Chrissie made this bow holder for me. I love it!

The next day on Sunday Bryce and I went over to my parents house to have dinner and celebrate my upcoming birthday. I should have taken more pictures, but oh well. These next two are pics of Carter and I. He thinks that he can stick out his belly further than mine. This is proof that even after him eating two hamburgers he is still a skinny little bugger. Me..... I'll get there later. :)

Tuesday was my birthday and it was a really great day. We had cake at work and my dad drove all the way down to Taylorsville to take me to lunch. I have such an awesome dad!

Then when I got home, before I could get out of my car my two neighbor boys that I love sang me happy birthday, not once, but twice. Then I walked in the door to this....

a really yummy dinner, candles, flowers (yeah!) and presents.

After dinner Bryce surprised me with cupcakes and he sang to me too. I was tempted to record it but he would have been embarrassed.

The night ended with the three of us, our puppies and Paul Blart. It was simple and perfect. So thank you to you Bryce for the sweet thoughts and for everyone that took the time to say happy birthday. It means a lot.

Flow Rider, Destruction and Heartburn

I hate to do a combined post, but I have been a slacker and haven't posted in a while. These next few pics are from the Flow Rider at the Junction in Ogden. I didn't get to participate because of the baby bump, but I was more than content to sit and watch Bryce, Britney and Scott wipe out for an hour.

If you are a beginner they let you hold on to a rope to help steady you until you feel like you can let go.

Here is the destruction. This is our casing on the back door that has been chewed up. We have patched it up several times, but it was time to fix it and make it new.

We decided to take off all of it around the whole door. You also can't see but on the inside of the door jam is all scratched up and we will have to fix that also. I don't have a new picture but it looks like new now. Ready for it's new owner. Whoever that lucky person may be. ;)

And for the heartburn.... I have just experienced it for the first time in my life. Not a cool feeling and I have a new appreciation for people who get it. Yummy.

We will never grow up!

My family is a bunch of big kids. We are never going to grow up. An example of this is our yearly Easter tradition. This year we have Bryce that is 25, Me-23, Landon-22, Jason-18 and Carter-16. I wont name the ages of my parents ;) Old people seem to have a funny thing about not wanting people to know their age. HA!! There are no little kids but who cares right? We still have Easter baskets and we decorate eggs and the best part is the Easter egg hunt. It is highly competitive and not for the weak.

It didn't show up well, but Bryce's egg that he is holding says Utah Jazz Suck. Usually the eggs are pro-Utah Jazz, but I guess he is a little bitter this year.
We had three dozen eggs to decorate, a job we all took very seriously.
This is us lining up before the Easter egg hunt. I told them I got to be in front since I am the fattest. I had to use that to my advantage this year. My brothers' faces say it all.... Landon is a goof and likes to pull this face a lot, Jason is all business and has gone as far as knocking me to the ground, he probably would have done it again this year, but for Jayda's sake I let him get the egg this time. Carter was tired, but he woke up and had a good time and Bryce is laughing because he thinks it is hilarious.
Bella had fun too. She just ran around the yard with all of us not really knowing what was going on. Buster had to stay home cause he is a whiner and doesn't behave so he had a lonely Easter. Dad was the egg master.

And just for the record... I WON! I got eighteen dollars which was the most out of everyone.

Buca Di Beppo

On Friday we had the chance to get together with some of Bryce's friends. They all pretty much grew up together and still keep in contact. Derek and Kim (the two on the front right) live in Arizona right now and were able to come visit for a few weeks and have their new baby London blessed. It was also Derek's birthday a few days earlier so we told them it was his birthday and they brought him two big pieces of cake and sung to him. Honestly, if you haven't been to Buca Di Beppo it is a really fun restaurant and it is worth going there just for the cake!

Afterwards we stopped by Matt and Kioko's apartment up by the U. She is 1 week away from having her baby and looks so cute! It's cute that Bryce has such fun friends. They act like they have never missed a day of seeing each other so it is always fun to get together with them.

DISCLAIMER

WARNING:
The hormones have officially kicked in. I can feel them and am extremely sensitive right now. It is a weird feeling. I almost started crying today just telling my co-workers about it. Pathetic, I know. So this is a standing apology for the next four months just in case I get a little testy or start crying on you. I'm sorry. Pray for Bryce.
