March
March should be a fun month!
A little update on our family, Bryce re-injured his knee at another church b-ball game. He had it looked at and has a follow up appointment in a few days, but everything should be ok. He is plugging along in school and is on the right track to graduate next spring.
Jayda is talking more and more. A few words she can say are:
Dad
Mom
Papa
bird
please
thank you
up
tiger
yes
no
bye
ball
dog
cow
e i o (this is for old mcdonald and all of the animals she can't say and also Baby Einstein videos)
and we are working on "love you". She is very close.
I feel like other than going to the store with her, this is my favorite stage so far. She is a lot of fun to be around. We took her to the park last Saturday to take advantage of the nice weather and I was amazed at how brave she was. She wanted to go down all of the big slides all by herself and just went for it.
We had our 2nd appointment for our baby today which went well. Dr K couldn't hear the heartbeat (probably couldn't get through the fat layers but was too nice to say so) so he did an ultrasound and we got to see the little thing moving around and sucking it's thumb. That was way better than just hearing the heartbeat, although it made me a little nervous when he couldn't find it. We are really looking forward to the 15th when we find out what it is. With Jayda we knew as soon as found out we were pregnant that it was a girl and she would be Jayda. With this one we have no names and no clue what the gender will be. Either one will be great.
As for me, I am still feeling sick, throwing up more than I was with pretty gnarly headaches, but I have a little more energy and the nausea seems more bearable. I have gained 8 pounds more than I wanted too but what can you do? I am still working away at Intermountain Healthcare and I am becoming more and more comfortable there. My one year anniversary is on the 1st of March. Another good thing about March :)

Bleh
I don't feel like blogging lately. I don't have the energy to do much and my house is evidence of that but I somehow feel guilty that it has been a few weeks since I have written anything. I never officially did an "I'm Pregnant" post, but just like last time I feel like telling people is not my favorite thing to do. I actually don't like telling people and let my mom do most of the work this time.
The symptoms are the same this time, but I think my tolerance level for them is much lower. Ask Bryce how angry I am in the morning :( The other difference is that I am not 100% positive what we will be having. I don't have a clear feeling and I have no clue on names for a boy or a girl. I don't think we will even start talking about it until we know forsure what the baby will be. For now we are just going with the flow and I am trying to make it through each day.
Our first ultrasound was last Friday and we got to see the little fluttering heartbeat. There is only one baby in there which will probably be a relief, but I was kind of hoping there were 2 so I wouldn't have to do this ever again. My due official due date is August 19th.
I am not grateful for these symptoms but I am so grateful for the blessing of having another one and letting our family grow into a family of 4.

Christmas 2010
It has been a long time since we have been up to see Bryce's mom so we took a trip up to North Ogden to visit and exchange gifts. Holley loves Christmas and goes all out. We were happy to see her.

Light parade
K-notice Jayda's face in all of these pictures. She was ready for bed and also very confused. She has the exact same expression in all of them. At the end when Santa came out she cracked a smile for us but unfortunately we didn't get a picture of that. She likes Santa already because at Lowe's they have blow up Christmas displays and one of them has Santa peaking in and out of a door. She could sit and watch it for hours.
We are really glad we decided to stop and get the Christmas festivities started. It's going to be a fun month.

1 year anniversary
Jayda will be 16 months old on Sunday and I am happy to say she had her last little checkup and set of shots until she goes to kindergarten. YEAH!!!
She weighs 22.0 pounds- 31%
Height: 31 inches-60%
Head:17.9 inches-34%
Luckily the weather wasn't too horrible and we were able to make it up to Idaho for Thanksgiving to visit Jayda's cousins and her papa Schow. We had a blast and ate amazing food. Our only regret is that we didn't get to stay longer. Bryce had to work the Jazz game on Friday so we skipped the Black Friday madness and came home early that morning.
This was Jayda about 30 minutes after we arrived. She walked straight up to Gus and started laughing. There is no fear with her when it comes to big dogs. She even squeezed through the slats to get to him.

My apologies
I was there doing a little grocery shopping and decided that I needed a little chocolate. So I grabbed a Snickers and put it in the cart. Well, Jayda decided that she needed a little chocolate too and started squealing and reaching her hands out for it. I handed it to her thinking that holding it would be good enough, but no. When she couldn't get the wrapper open she started squealing again and tried to get me to open it for her.
Now Jayda has had chocolate, but I am not about to feed her a Snickers so I put it back in the cart. This set her off. She proceeded to scream the whole time we were checking out and all the way out of the store. This was not a scream I had ever heard from her before. It was like I had taken a chain saw and chopped off one of her arms. The cashier behind me kindly offered me a sticker to see if that would help and it did, for about two seconds while she looked at it, scowled and then decided that she was even more mad now. I couldn't look at anyone. I just kept my head down and walked out of there as fast as I could.
Maybe that is my sign that I need to stop eating chocolate.
So, have we spoiled our child so much that we have created a monster? Are we raising the beginnings of a spoiled brat? Or is this just a phase? She's testing the waters, finding her voice? I guess we will find out, but I can't say that I will be going back to Smiths anytime soon and I am definitely not buying any candy bars either!
